Someone has been building a couple of trails in Byrne Woods in South Burn recently. As far as I can tell its complete crap flow wise and they're making a complete hash of all the brush and are using what I think is birch to make stuff. Needless to say its already rotting after a couple days. Me and a couple buds are going to do a bit of work and take down the sketchier stuff over the next couple days.

where is Byrne Woods? i know some guys in Burnaby who may know who is doing that if its nearby where they live. Sounds bad, I assume the building is in a sensitive area?

Its not really sensitive, considering they just demolished 1/4 of it for a new condo development  and not too many people use it. Its just the low build quality. Anyways Byrne Woods is the area between Marine Dr. and Edmonds Sky Train Station.

Gone today. Bobcat will be in tomorrow to fill in all the nice holes they dug.

The holes are old. Somone got a bobcat in there a couple years ago. Why'd they bring in a bobcat though? :???:
They tracked like doubled the width of the trail in order to get it in and they took out the ladder going over the log making that a really bad ejection angle. Anyways I took out the tranny on the foundation drop farthur up the trail and cleaned up the that area around where the ladder was. Its quite rideable now, no funny kickers that will break your neck now. :)
poor little kids...
doesn't everyone have to learn how to build sometime?
Kind of brutal to tear their shit down without talking to them.
Did you at least leave them a note explaining what happened, and where they can go toget advice on building non-shit?

They rebuilt a good jump. Me and my friends built one on the lead in. Torn down. Went back out there today to rebuild the jump. Whoever kicked it down left most of the jump built just with a kicker from the log it goes over. Dangerous shit :P. Anyways its smoother than ever now.

I only got to tear down a tranny they made for a 1' drop. The city bobcatted the rest.

!@$!@% the jump got destroyed again. I think its dogwalkers cause it was only 2 days this time. I put sticks in it this time to make it harder to kick down. Argh.
