Vedder Mountain Trail Day

Have you enjoyed riding the sweet trails of Vedder Mountain? Well these trails and the surrounding area need some love.

The good people at Jack's Cycle in Vedder Crossing are once again hosting a spring Vedder Mountain Trails Day Sunday March 20. Meeting time is at 10 am at Jack's Cycle (45735 Thomas Road, Chilliwack, BC.....right beside the McD's drivethru for you Hi-fat food addicted folk). Following a little light duty, there will be mass trail riding followed by 'eats' back at Jack's Cycle. The last trail day featured plenty of free swag and the hope is that come trail day there will some more goods to distribute.

Please let us know if you are planning on coming out so we can make plans for feeding everyone. You can let us know the following ways:

- Email Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association with your name and phone number (Dennis Teeft - Chilliwack Area Representative vedder_mtb@hotmail.com)

- Phone Jack's Cycle 604-858-3011

- Visit Jack's Cycle and sign up

- PM me

Come prepared to have a fun day of pitching in, riding and chowing down. All you need to bring is your good attitude and a shovel if you have one. See you there.

Hey, for those of you who can't get enough of those hi-fat goodies offered by our friends at McD's and Dairy Queen, we will be giving away a ton of certificates for free grub courtesy of these fast-food gurus after the trail day (you gotta replenish those lost fat stores.....)

I heard the trail day was pretty good. What all went down building wise?

the cleanup went great.....we had an unprecedented number of people out including a contingent from Vancouver and Langley (thanks guys and gals). We took 2.7 tonnes of garbage off the roadsides (that's a lot).

A pile of building happened....mostly installing berms on already well known trails including Femur and Dilemma......Femur is particularly fun and flowy now.

Sweet. Thanks.

I sadly, dont know exactaly where Femur is, i can only guess its the trail that takes you back down to the Cultus lake parking lot.
Know where Dillemma is, and love it, more burms = more flow. SWeeeeet.

Well if you go into Jacks Cycle in Vedder, you can now get trail maps, they are by donation minimum $2 and the money goes to the FVMBA, so the more you give the better the trails will be the next time you go riding.
