Boxxer (Ride?) is pretty reasonably priced and adjustable 5"-7"
The other reasonable one is the Jr.T but they are 7". You could pick up an older Jr.T or Slider both of which are 6"

Risse trixxxy, inverted design, 4,5,6 or 7 inches you only get one of those it is not adjustable. I have no idea how good it is or what the price is. The boxxer may be the only other current fork that can be set a 6" without modification.
Edit: i think darksyde sells them for around 850 (stanchion guards may not be included)

Actually the Trixxy and the Champ are killer looking forks. Never really heard much about people riding them, in particular I've heard nothing from people riding them on the shore.
Keep in mind that you have to use their 120mm hub (like the older White Bros forks) or run a hub spacer.

Question is, how well will the U-Turn hold up when set to 6"?

Have a look at the Z150. 6" of travel, and it's pretty solid.

Actually the '05 Z-1 50 have the dedicated thru-axle as well instead of the QR-20+ so that is a good call

or think about 66s'. they are available as 150mm. Still the same burly lowers and crown, just less travel. Heavy as hell so that'll make your bike feel more stable at speed - also super plush.

Yeah, there's somehitng about single crown forks I just don't like. Especially ones with 6inches of travel, they just look stupid...

stance kingpin? it's 7" but you could pump the air assist up a bit and effectively have a 6" fork... they've got a pretty decent axle to crown too.
I'm happy with mine.

Jim, I have a Sherman at 6" and it looks good. The 1.5 does inspire confidence though. I would do the SC 6" for Elaine's bike if I could. As it is she has a sweet ol skool JrT up front, the 5" version with the CNC arch.

I have not heard of any U-Turn assembly breaking in Psylos, and those are lowered for skateparks.
U-Turn and Tullio are some of the best designs in the biz. If Maxle is better.... whoa.

A 66 isn't exactly the same as a Z5.

Didn't manitou make a 6 inch slider 1 or 2 years ago? Might be able to find one cheap ( if they exist)

Yes - the 2003 Slider. It has 6" of travel. Light fork, too.

Now that I got rid of mine, I can admit that while mine never broke it developed a very strange habit: as I was hitting the jumps down at SST it would dial itself down to lower travel over successive runs until it was set on the lowest travel option! I'd start out with 115mm (on it's BEST day it never came near the advertised 125mm high end) and end up on 80 after two runs. I've mentioned here before that I thought I had left the thing turned down after DJ sessions, but what was happening was that it was turning itself down during the course of a session...how fucked is that?

My brother fuxxored his twice, which is why I was asking.
the problem with a 66 is that you might as well get a 8" monster t. there the same size, only the monster gets 2' more travel.
if you dont want to spend much money, get a 2003-2004 boxxer race. i'v riden mine hard for almost a year now and it has been very solid. but if you get the 2003 you well need to get the black box kit (a red CNC'ed valve to replce the stock one). when i had my boxxer race set at 6" of travel it was only 6.1lbs.
