would it be possible to ask Council to direct him to stop making unsubstantiated comments about trail issues to the media?
Listening to him on CKNW......he cannot provide one solid piece of evidence to support his claims.....Shouldn't our representatives to council be held accountable for the statements they make in public?

questions for Mr. Crist:
1-how does geographic area determine the suitability for bike trails?("fromme mountain is just too small an area"-Bill Good show)
2-This issue IS being adressed locally(ARSS),by the GVRD and Provincial Govt(BC Parks). Why do you say this needs to be done when in fact it already IS being done?
3-Are you aware that the parking lots and associated costs were proposed by YOUR staff....not us.If you are so concerned about this, why were you not at ONE of the ARSS open house meetings?
I know that you access this forum,Mr. Crist. Why not register and answer some questions or provide rationale for your statements?

Elected officials are accountable at election time! Don't like what they do? Get politically active! Support the opposition! Vote em out!
Ya, ya, I know coming from an apathetic slob like me that's rich!

I was thinking along similar lines after hearing the discussions on the radio this morning.
These are his personal views, and yet he comes across as a spokesman of the Council - there must be a conflict of interest here somewhere - at the least he's out of line.
