to be honest, I think that all NSMB staff and their immediate families should not be allowed to enter the contest. I don't think it was fixed, however, I believe that maintaining the "perception" of independence is extremely important. it's like if an employee of BCLotto (or their immediate family member) won the lotto...

Umm, what the hell are you guys talking about?

Cam's wife - who isn't named Leanne - picked the numbers, and another woman - who is named Leanne - won the frame. Why is that so hard to figure out?

And Blaine, no one from nsmb was entered in the contest. As for the second part of your comment, BCLC employees are eligible to win the lottery.

Placebo....the way it is written, makes one believe that this Leanne lady is well known to the NSMB community......

But we dont know who she is??

And why should you?

She won the frame, she was in an article showing her holding her new bike, lets help her enjoy it by not having the forum people seek her out. :)

I swear it was random; no money changed hands, no favours were offered. Leanne won fair and square. We didn't have some dude in a suit auditing the process

See it from our point of view.....sounds to me she is WELL known somehow......we were just asking who she was to us??

I think he was using a little humour? Makes it easier for all the people who didn't win.

ie: It was a fair draw, sorry guys?

Yeah I understand it now, and it was never my intention to rake muck but I was just curious if the person was significant in the nsmba community or something.

Think about it from a woman's perspective - would you want your picture and first and last names posted on the Web? Probably not...

Guys don't even think about this sort of thing, but personal security is a big concern for a lot of women.

Fair enough, thanks for the clarification guys:)

you guys are worrying about something that is really none of your business - a woman won the frame - why on earth would you try and figure out who she is? who cares? talk about e-stalking

LG, now now thats not where we were going with it at all....Like I said before, the way it was written just made it sound like we were all supposed to know who she was....and I didnt, so I asked

I will try to explain this.

As mentioned above by Placebo - a woman won the frame.

That woman is not my wife. I had never met this woman before. My wife did help me make a random choice by picking numbers out of thin air without knowing why.

The random choice turned out to be Leanne.

As we have now established, and some of you mentioned, Leanne (who is pictured in the photo) is woman. Others mentioned that she is also cute. I thought that these two factors - when coupled - could make people suspicious. Not 'call the cops suspicious' buy rather 'yea sure she won' suspicious which is why I posted the way I did.

Sometimes I forget that what may seem obvious to (most of) those over 30 is less so to those under 20.

An issue with irony is that you must perceive a meaning that is somewhat concealed.

My meaning was 'she's cute and female but she won fair and square.'

I'll say. You may not know me well but you have known me long enough to have figured out that I would never do something like that.

If I was that unscrupulous I wouldn't be stupid enough to post it on the site.

But Cam - wasn't the thing about the worry of the rigged results from this:

"Anyway Leanne was stoked. Her bike locker had been broken into recently so she deserved the good karma."

So basically - you guys didn't choose her because she had her locker broken into?

thats what I got out of it....
