If anyone had a Brodie Devo stolen lately in the Vancouver area I may have some info that could lead to the recovery of it. I recently met a shady character who was selling one very cheap and didnt seem to know anything about the bike. If you think its yours or a friends let me know. Im not 100% sure it was even a stolen bike but the whole situation seemed a little odd to me. But if it is your's I have the contact info for the dude who had it and I would be able to describe the parts on the bike to id it.

it was a fully built and silver/brushed alm. in colour. The forks were old marzocchi... perhaps Mr. T. Double wide rims. Michelin tires. Hayes 6 inch disc brakes.

If I'm not mistaken, the Brodie Demon has a silver and/or brushed aluminum finish to it (unless the original owner had it re-finished). If this is the case and it is a Demon and not a Devo, we might want to rename the thread title and re-sticky?

I asked about the colour becuase I have a Devo in transit and it has yet to reach its final destination.

You should have bought it and then posted the description and or contacted the police. Same goes for all those "hey I saw a bum with a stolen bike." Just go up to him and offer him some cash, if it's stolen he'll prbly take it and then you could be a good samaritan or worst case you've got a cheap parts supply.
