at least the summer will start early and give them more time to build the trails. They should just write-off the ski season and get the trail crew up there now.
Anyone wanna buy some Seymour lift tickets? :D

Rumour I heard was they've built the structures last fall to see how well they hold out with the wet, heavy snowpack they usually get. Fear was that the snow slides down hill as a big mass when it melts, and that it would take the bridges with it (kinda like a glacier).
i doubt they had much success getting the snow to move anything this year though.
I heard plan was still for this summer from peeps in the know up at Cypes.

2004 Northshore News article mentioned plans for MTB trails on Cypress Mountain, both in the resort area and a seperate plan for lower trails. We all know Digger is helping the resort build trail, but can anyone speak to the plans for the latter??

The area where blind skier is will be designated a mountain bike park. They are currently addessing the old growth area to ensure the park will not encroach. Once this is done we hope to go in and fix up blind skier and create a little network there.
The trails on British Properties are currently not a part of the plan. But they could be if mountain bikers in West Vancouver speak in support of them.

iv tried many of times to speak out to the council. i know the mayor personally also. council doesnt like spending money on teens, they like spending it on stuff for the old people. which is ridiclious. if more people came to meetings i think we could get the others trails into the plan.
