wear your helmets boys and girls...
me and my brother went to rip up a trail (harbour view, Fm Radio) me on his le toy him on his new scream i tried keeping up with him on a washout. Bad idea got kicked off did some sort of front flip and landed on my head then smashed on my elbow then bounced up again landed on my right leg now i havea big bump on my leg bigger then most chicks boobs...
luckily i was wearing a helmet
So wear your helmets guys

i hear ya, i wear my full face full time now after smashing my head into the concrete while visiting van skate park, resulting in stiches, concussion, and dislocated sholder (i was wearing a half helmet) if i wasnt wearin a helmet id probly be close to dead if not dead.

helmets are good especially for trail riding, saved my life a few times...

yes they are and im pretty sure it saved my life right there i landed head first on some big pointy rocks but all in all it was a good ride but man... im out of shape.

the other day i discovered the hugest crack in my xc lid. its scary cause i am constantly dodging traffic while wearing it. gotta buy a new one now.

yes helmet is important

but if ur dodging traffic i dont know if u get smoked by a car what a helmet will do?

it it were not for helmets in general, i would be dead from a number of different sports already

today i saw a kid smash his face with a fullface on! the bottom part got caught on somthing smashing the top part into his nose cutting it. bloddy lip or mouth to. yuck. we need facesheilds!

While helmets don't prevent concussions (I'm living proof), they definitely save lives (living proof of that as well).
I think if you bring your old helmet in to most shops, they'll give you a discount on a new one or something along those lines. It may just be a few of the manufacturers that offer that.
Either way, worth checking into. Money saved is money saved.
