Count me in. I had a blast last year. I came in 2nd to Shandro in the UOC race and put in a 14 minute descent on the 7th secret relay. So much fun. More people should do these.
i'm going to try and do all the ripper races this year. and i hope to do better then i did last year.
Im planning on racing all 3... i just gotta hope my climbing partner will still climb for me in the first one... ( if its the same as last year).

I'm hoppin to get out to at least the uoc and mabe even the cbc one as well. I made it out to both of those last year but I lacked the funds to race so i just spectated, looked like a lot of fun.

how do the relays work?
Wayne P

I'm looking for an uphill partner for both relays. You've got to be a bloody fast XC'er who could possibly win it or come close. G-G-G-Giddyup.

I need a partner that is just a little slower than Waynes so that I can pass him on the way down.
If I how to put those little handcuffs up this would be a great place for them.

is that just the fire road sprint or are you factoring in the surprises like we had last year?
i know those cyclocross guys were a bit surprised when they found out the climb included roadside attraction and the warden's trail

I'm exaggerating of course. He should be near the front, if not, leading. He is a top 3-5 pro/elite BC Cup XC racer (He can ride off road).
You're talking about Allan Pratzky - Gary Jackson's partner. He's a full time road rider/racer. I wouldn't trust a roadie for something as simple as the fire road climb. Its a different ball of wax. The XC dudes are plenty used to sprinting uphill on dirt. Allan would crush everyone on the road though.

I wanna do all of em. If I do the 7th secret, would It be legit to stch my bike at the top of 7th, and ride up on an XC bike, ditch it at the top, and take the DH bike down?

you would be disqualified, fined, publicly scorned and have to buy everyone beers all night at the after party. I think you should go for it.

I want to do the 7th secret solo. Everyone email that address and put in your votes so they put in that category. That would be a real blast! Maybe I'll try some of the other ones too...

I wanna do the 7th up down as a solo rider, but I have an exam that day from 8:30-11am.
Any ideas what time the ripper starts? Usually pretty early, right?

Well done all of you - I would have said to both of you nelson and atb if I had known. I hope yelling at you to pedal gave you inspiration for going uphill - i always got a kick ouyt of getting screamed at in races.
I didn't come last :fruit:
I came 2nd to last :) big mistake wearing full face and full armour on the climb
but on the good side it was so much fun and I think I lost 5 lbs
