Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it looks to be a sick video. I didnt even know Aaron Chase was into filming/editing. Goes to show how well rounded he is in this sport.

that wasnt editing, that was slapping a bunch of clips together

mountainbike video producers have no idea about good editing. the collective being the 1 exception and milkmans stuff up there too.

umm all the landings and clip changes are to the beat of the song and they have sped up parts of the footy to match the song...wut more do you want? a million lifestyle shots? some cheesy flashes and lightening bolts?

The teaser looks pretty cool!

I think its cool that its fimled by a rider. I think it just means a little more when a rider of his caliber goes and makes a video. As far as editing goes, it looks fine!

thats sarcasm right?

of all people i figured you would appreciate good editing from darrens work. he does a hell of a lot more than clipping to the music!

ahahaha yes! Maybe some fast forwarded clouds and some rewinding, pausing, and cheesy special effects in order to make up for less than stellar riding?

I didnt dude.

I said collective is the 1 exception, and milkman is sorta in there too because lets admit it, he has some cool editing moments in monkey styles II (im sure youve seen it)

i just wanted to bring a different oppinion to this thread, get some debate started on mtb vid editing, because imo it could be way more sicktor.

all this talk og mtn bike video is getting tiring but...

tyeres no doubt its getting better with people like jesse roberts, ryan dehany getting into the scene. so why not end it at the fact that it IS getting better.

i didnt feel the collective has any crazy edditing ?? mostly just great cinematography. edditing was very unneccesary. whereas soem might say the monkey styles vids are overeditted

No was nothing beats those sick transistions in suspect. I would say most well edited movie ever. And that sick 3d rendering for all the cranked movies.

exactly...with cinematic brilliance no editing is even needed.

however, EVERYBODY, watch this video if you want to see good editing.

theres some fancy transitions in that clip... but the callibar of riding is not there. When I buy a MTB movie... i could care less about all that computer stuff... i just wanna see good solid riding .. thats why Id buy counterparts.

good call kyle hansen i agree its good edditing!.

While I wouldn't go as far as to say the editing in the Counterparts teaser was good, it was definately more than "a bunch of clips thrown together."

Oh, also, if anyone can get their hands on the Milkman (my cousin)'s early stuff from the Milkmen series... You can see a pretty rad progression of editing.

For me personally, I just want to be able to see what the rider is doing, and have it cut to the beat. And not be lame.
