Was bored again today, went down to the river and got this image.

Would really like some reccomendations for these types of shots. Please back yourself up if you have any negative comments.

cool, but the watermark is just plain obnoxious and becomes the focal point of the photo.

i like pics where theres just the one bird, and a fast shutter speed so the wings arent moving. subject maybe more contrasted with the background? just what i think, i may be wrong though.

The picture and composition are awesome, and I do like the blur in the wings as it shows motion and speed.

I do however agree with the watermark. Subtle and lo-key is the best if anything.

i would maybe increase the shutter just a little. otherwise i really like it, and your watermark is just fine.

i think a better F stop could have been chosen.. maybe having more then only one of the birds in focus?

and it just seems a little odd to me having only the body of 1 of 5 or 6 other birds in focus

OK just my opionion here...

The shot is wonderfull, the colors pallette is very mood inspiring and the focus attracts you to the featured bird.

To improve this shot IMO, I would frame it a little different. I would have the bird that is the focus of attention, in the right 3rd of the picture, and have the birds behind it be to the left of it. This way I think you would get more of the motion feel into it, as the good would have more flight path within the shot.

It's an awesome shot in either case. You should be happy.

Put up more.

I guess he is a shitty goose trainer....
How do you get Geese to move into the *Ahem* "Correct" position ?

The geese are obviously taking off. If he moved the goose into the right 1/3 the other geese would be out of frame...

I'm confused.:???: but what else is new.

I think he may have meant to just crop it so it looks like that because its almost impossible to align the geese perfectly before taking the shot. Nice shot. I like how the main goose is in focus while the other ones are just background it brings your attention right to that goose.

i am not slaggin him or saying he is a shitty anything, just offering some ideas.
