before a second clearcoat. sand the first clearcoat down to get that awesome shine. also, too many layers of clearcoat will become brittle and crack easier esp. if there is some flexing in the frame, which should be okay if its aluminum, but for a steel frame you need to consider it.

The flames are really not tickling my fancy, they are too cookie cutter normal. plus there are tiny and plentiful which makes it look far too busy on the head tube.

Funny you should mention that. I want to try and pick up a new seat at the outdoors show, this one hurts my ass. I'm also thinking of getting one of those dark cycles chain rings and am going to get a better fork when I can afford it (hopefully by then middle of the summer but I'm not exactly rolling in dough being 17).

And yes it was spray painted. Total cost sits at about $40 for the paint job and $30 for all the stuff for stipping it (of which I have a lot left over :P )

By the way, what's some good clearcoat and what grit were you saying to sand it with? 600ish?

You guys are a bunch of tool's. Who cares what kinda bike it is........as long as it gets ridden.

I dont get what this stigma is with the 8 ball. As I've proven time and time again, I'm a pansy when it comes to big stuff. :shh: It's not going to break any time soon.
