Dreaming of a new ride come spring , torn btwn a
Canadian 2005 Ollie and a Stinky Supreme.
Similar price , similar specs.
Im a little biased toward the Supreme , coming from a 03 Stinky DeeLux , but the Ollie is very close behind.
200-210lbs / 95/100kg all dressed up , "freerider" , drops/hucks up to max 15 feet, sportsclass DH
Pros/cons of either , all opinions appreciated.
Cheers

Personally I'd actually go with the Stinky Supreme. I used to own a Stab Primo and all I wanted extra for it was a floating disc - now they have it. Check out the gear reviews for the Stab Primo - it should be the same frame as the Stinky for 05 w/ a Floater. I had many a great experiences on board my old Primo. I did have a warranty issue after only 7 months but it was promptly taken care of (and rightfully so).
I cant say much about the Devinci's except people seem to be stoked about them.
Kona gets my vote on this one. Hope it helps.

Obviously you liked your Kona so I'd suggest you stay with that line. Personally I've never liked Kona bikes - but that's a personal bias and I can't even say why really. With a floating brake it takes care of any braking issues.
Points to mention (only looking at geo) - SS has a huge chainstay (18.3") so should be very stable to DH but harder to do tight turns and possibly lift up (but wheelbase is unknown which has some effect). The seattube is bent so you don't get full seattube length if that matters. It comes with FOX5.0 which seems to have a greater following now (after a few people have ridden them).
Try riding both - the only real way to see what you prefer. Have fun testing out bikes.

The Supreme is amazing. We just got one in on the floor here and it has got to be on eof the nicest bikes we have ever had on the floor!

I should've also pointed out the sizing of my stab primo. I originally had a medium and I'm 5'11. During the warranty period, I switched over to a small frame and it really made a big difference as far as control of the bike in the corners, the air and even rocking the log rides. That was also a 2000 Stab Primo - things definately could've changed over time.Something else to consider.

Ride both, then youll realize how much better a design the Ollie is. No amount of preaching will convince you on either bike. I rode an Ollie all last season, sold it, and im getting the new 2005 Ollie. Its that good.
no question...
get teh Kona...
that bike is fricken awesome....

P.s. The stinky has a nicer spec, but also costs $1100 more than the Ollie...you would be best comparing it to the Wilson ;)

What about getting on Team Big Hit ???
If you are looking to spend as much as a SS, I would seriously look into a Spec. Demo 8 Pro.
Ultimate bike for me for '05 just too much quan for this cowboy.
my 25cents

I should do a write up on it. It's a medium here and I sure am stoked on the bike.
There is 7 and 1/4" burried in the frame right now.
