Ok, I just got a bike and I'm having trouble with the Sherman Firefly adjustments. So far i know the one on the left is the travel adjustment. But there one on the top of the right leg and one under it. I believe the one on top ispressure and the one on bottom is rebound but can anybody help me out. And if the one is the pressure one does anybody kno whow to get more pressure into the shock because im bottoming it out. Thanks alot

that fork is a flick not a firefly, the manitou website: www.answerproducts.com should have a manual online to help you, the top of the right fork leg is either preload or compression (i dont know which the fork has) and the bottom is rebound. the website should have info somewhere on it with specifics on how to tune it. you may need new springs to fix the bottoming, how much/how easily are you bottoming it?

the blue knob is rebound, then you have your red knob which is pregrssiveness, then you have you black cap above it for ai rpressure and the one on the elft leg is travel adjustment, but that defiunatly looks like a flick not a firefly

His fork is not SPV, it's TPC+ :)
Blue dial(bottom of right leg) : 180 degrees of rebound adjustment. Looking down from cockpit, counterclockwise = more rebound and clockwise = less rebound.
Black dial(top of right leg) : ~6 turns of low speed compression dampening. CW adds more resistance and CC reduces it.

I dont know where you got the idea its a flick but its a firefly. It says firefly on the back bottom of the left leg. And the knob on the bottom left is not blue its black. And can somebody help me out with how to adjust the compressiong I saw that the 05s have a schrader valve where the black knob is on the top of mine. Thanks for the help and I dont know if the info is different but please help me with a firefly because that is what it is.

Have you even tried reading in the manual?

I think it must be an '03 firefly, they didn't have spv, so no air valve. Does the travel adjust change the travel only 20mm? That's what the '03s did. They look just like the flick, except have tpc+ damping, aluminum steerer, and ti springs. Unless this is some kind of an OEM fork. The top right dial is you compression adjust, but you won't be able to feel it in "parking lot" tests, you need to take it out on the trails, then you will notice a difference.

If you are bottoming your fork you can only do 2 things. First check your oil level and second if that doens't help, you need to change your spring. I suggest to take it to your LBS that knows how to service Shermans.

I have the exact same fork. You have an 03 firefly
the big knob with the switch is the lockout (5inch to 4 inch)
the top knob on the right is compression, and the knob on the bottom is rebound

oh ok, 03 firefly, that makes sense. it has the same damping as an 03-05 flick if that helps, its just lighter. Desloc's tips should give you all the help you need.

The '03 firefly does NOT have the same damping as the 03-05 flicks. The firefly has TPC+, and the flick has just plain TPC. The TPC+ is a higher-end damping at the time than the TPC. It's almost like marzocchi's ssvf compared to hcsv.
I remember Syncro talking about installing a "shim kit" to revalve the fork rather than installing heavier springs. Maybe shoot him a PM

I have the same bike as you.
And the fork is a 03 firefly.
Atleast that's what it says on the manual...

ohh, ok i guess im wrong again...:(
that does make sense but im surprised that manitou never upgraded the flick to tpc+ because it isn't exactly new like the spv.
