I did a search and no luck. Can you guys tell me if you liked your 2003 Marz Z1 FR QR20 with ETA? Tell me how the fork responds and give me some good rider input. I am also 190lbs, should I get stiffer springs? How much would you pay for these forks used in good condition?

Thanks

I have benn riding one since may2003 and i have been very satisfied
It´s a great fork , super plush, progressive and quite stiff
you should at least raise the oil level !!
I weight in at about 155 lbs, you might have to get stiffer springs but i have no experience with the Marzocchi spring rate so i dunno what you´d need

The Qr20+ has to be handled with care ! the Treads on the Quick release nut wear out quickly if tightened to heavy ..
my "axle-plate" broke too! but the fork is still rideable ..
replacements are pricey!!

Also the ETA is great for climbing but the little lever bolt should be secured with some loctite!

no idea how much they´r worth now ..

I found mine too soft so I put in a heavy spring but just on one side. You can prob. achieve the same result adding a bit more oil - check the site for max. height.

The fork rides nicely but as indicated about the QR20+ system - well personally it was a really stupid idea (who needs a quick release on a FR fork???). The replacement parts are far too expensive and you will, at some point, likely break them.

ETA - the little lever moves too easily, several times I've found my ETA turned on when I started to descend (I no longer use it as my little bike weighs only 35lbs and isn't slack). Also, for 2003 the lever is a little piece of plastic, however for more $$ you can get a machined alum lever. The 2004 version has a better lever system (looks like a faucet tap fixture i.e. big and is alum).
