So after peeling an edge off an 8 day old Solomon Xscream a few years ago I refuse to ride my brand new Bandit XX's unless there is ample snow
I need some beater rock skis but Im a bit out of the equipment loop these days. the way I see it I have three options.
1. Go to sports junkies and pick up some older boards, however in my experiance they usually only have real old crap or pretty nice stuff at pretty high prices.
2. spend 250 and get a new edge put on the Xscreams, Im not sure how long that would hold up for though. Its missing about 20 inches plus ample base damage
3. buy some 200 dollar specials at sports check. However most of the stuff I looked at looked too flexy for me.
Im riding mostly whistler beat up chowder and the odd bit groomed / bumps
In a perfect world I would be like to get some Alpine touring bindings I could slap on these extra skis if I ever found the time to get into the backcountry anymore. right now I just rent AT stuff for the couple days a year that I can manage to get away for some touring.
