i didnt hit it last season but ive been on the first chair for the two seasons before that. i love Baker. the only bad thing about them is lack of on-site accomidations. other than that i love it.

baker is the shit. dont let the elevation fool you..it truely is amazing...
wait..no, it sucks...dont go and waste your time there...go to...whistler and stand in line there! ;)
its futher than everyone thinks...but the drive goes quick and is well worth it. and if you have the proper required gear, hit up the bc with a guide....you will be in awe of whats out there.

baker is crazy. There is so much backcountry stuff up there. it is one of the few places where u can go out of bounds and no one cares. tons of big drops and nice fluffy powder.

well you sir are sadly mistaken...they have quite strict backcountry regulations...and for good reason. People die in Baker's BC. Also, most of the time the snow is much heavier than people are used to. Baker kills it, but don't be stupid...respect that mountain.

i went a few times last year, once i had come and it had dumped 20 cm the night before. perfect conditions, no line ups to be found and all for 30 bucks!
cant beat that.
I own a place near Baker. It's actually about the same drive time from Richmond as Whistler.
I grew up on Baker and it's by FAR my favorite mountain (and I get $400 season passes from Whistler)
Get a local to show you around.
