02 viper 700, with slp pipes modded to rev at 9000 rpm, 780cc big bore kit, mod skis, clutched and jetted right on, stretched to a 151 x 16. This season, put in a prototype yamaha skid(free) and 20 pounds less.. and 9 1/4 " riser with some fly bars, did my own air intake mod, beside the guage, now just waiting for the deep stuff to arrive!! 170 hp, 110 ft/lbs of torque

Nice decks there Fat Whacker, what do you think of the swallow tail? I'm thinking I might get a new split board and might go that route or the new khyber split (wide nose, narrow tail). Looks longer than 166, how do you like the length? Can you ollie it or is there not enough tail?

my comment is that the 03/04 skis this year were very cheap. i had trouble picking. ussually it's pretty slim. For example, I was looking at the HEad MOnsters, Bix stix, Motherships, ELan 777.... all were new and WELL under 400... close to 300USD... Based on reviews and dimensions, I went with the Elans. seems to be a sick ski. sorta wanted to get another fat twin, but oh well...

Honestly, the 166 wasn't the length I was originally looking for in a Pow Stick, but I got the board for an amazing deal so I couldn't pass it up. I really wanted something in the 172-180 range, but oh well.

I can still ollie with it, but it deffinatly doesn't have the snap of a free-ride board. The Khyber looks like a really wicked board. It would be awesome for deep gladed runs as you can ride somthing like that without the huge length.

They're making a limited number this year...I believe 500. They claim to be awesome carving boards, and I can seee why. They're gonna be pretty expensive though.

i'm all about renting the skis this season. finally ditched my ancient k2 moguls (from about 1992) and am going all rental this season. it makes sense financially since i don't get up there all that often, and because many rocks and trees are showing this season due to the lame snow.

Skis (Van) - Head CyberCross Ti (the originals) with Tyrolia *&$% bindings (who knows what Tyrolia is up to - they were the yellow demo bindings)

Skis (Euro) - Rossi B3 & Axial 120 Pro bindings

B3s are brand new - nice trade for some bike stuff. but I'm afraid to pop their cherry because there's no snow here. Shoulda gone for carving skis instead.
