Does anyone know if there is any decent riding in port moody...say, freeriding mixed with some xc? (girlfriend's with me...)

You're right between SFU and Eagle. Both good areas for the riding you mentioned. There's even a little stunt park under the overpass in Port Moody, down by Rocky Point.

try the powerlines up at eagle, perdy fun, not too hard of a hike

for xc theres all the butzen lake stuff, and freeride theres SFU, Eagle, and Burke is pretty close aswell

You can't actually ride the Buntzen Lk trail (unless you get there and out by the time they open the gate around 8:00 am). THere is a ride area for beginners with small obstacles close to the ground off of Strong Arm Rd, a little hard to find but fun none the less.
