Have fun at it. They've improved the course quite a bit over the past couple of years. There's now some nice long singletrack sections. The weather's gonna be superb. The views are stunning. And the final climbs will leave your entrails squeezed out your ass and dragging on your rear knobbies. Enjoy. :thepimp: Unfortunately I can't make it this year.

"See Colours And PUKE!!!"
Good on ya Cory. I always said you're not a real North Shore rider 'till you've done the Cheakamus.
See if you can so it in under 4 hours.

Nothing like a little adversity to get you all pumped, eh? Have fun w/ that and, if you surivive, enjoy the show and, if you survive both, rest well.

uuuugggghhhhhhhh, I sucked didn't make the 3,5 hour cut off at Function...
got dropped by my buddy John, and the 11 year old I was riding with...
let that be a lesson to you kids, bike park+TV = slow.
I didn't even get to the hard stuff, bonked after brandywine, but a good time for sure,
next year it's personal, and my new COVE Hustler will suck up all the bumps.
no worries Corey...
thats a HUGE amount of K's to try to pick up and ride without serious training beforehand...
im sure next year you'll get 'er done....
;)

Shit, I still respect ya' for even giving it a go - as long as you did the best you could and had fun, what more could you ask for (aside from making the cut)?
Like you said, look out next year - you have something to feed off of until then.

kudo's cory,
everyone was saying it was a tough one.
you missed the most heinous climbs too! It only got worse!
Let us know if you're into doing some XC next year, when Lee and I are at whistler for the weekend we often do a day in the park, then a day of something epic then a mellow ride day.
Thanksgiving I'm planning on doing comfortably numb, its only 24kms...
