I am just wondering if there is a trail connecting Fromme area to the Deep Cove area. I am just looking for a different option than the pavement. Thanks Guys :D

Kids today....
The gravel road from the end of Dempsey across the pipe bridge into the demo forest. Down to Twin Bridges. Up and across the Bridle Path to Old Buck.
Ya know, you coulda figured that one out without any help pretty easily. There's signs, maps, tracks through the mud puddles, little old ladies walking their dogs, etc.

I sense that Smoke is implying that this is a good place to pick up little old ladies walking their dogs ........

But what to do with the lil' poodle...hmmmmm

I could imagine a mangy poodle would be able to garnish quite a bit o' loot w/ an unsuspecting granny.
I can see it now...
*phone call w/ disguised voice to granny*
GRANNY:Heloooo?
ME: granny, I have something that belongs to you
GRANNY:you'll have to speak up...I can't hear you!!
ME: I SAID I HAVE SOMETHING THAT BELONGS TO YOU!
GRANNY: HUH?? HELLO?? ARE YOU GOING TO SAY SOMETHING???
ME:DAMMIT, YOU OLD WENCH!!!! I HAVE YOUR POODLE AND I WANT THE LOOT!!!!!
GRANNY:I'M SORRY...YOU HAVE TO SPEAK UP!!
ME:JUST FORGET IT!!!!
*hangs up and is stuck w/ a mangy and smelly poodle that is good only for brushing off shoes with*
As far as the age thing - I think I have a 15yr. rule - anything within 15 yrs. older or younger.:P

That sounds like a skit from monty python.
As for your 15 year rule, that just cant apply to me since I'm only 25... at least on the younger side :S

He'll be lost with that direction, end of Lynn Valley Road, where it intersects that short stub of a street called Evelyn St. Not Dempsey, but pretty close. There's a small parking lot there too behind a bungalow. The old lady there has a giant pink poodle dog named Frenabulax. Don't let that poodle bite you.!

Frenabulax sounds like the perfect ransom pup...

If you can't find the gravel road from the corner of Dempsey and Lynn Valley rd, you deserve to get lost.
NOw if you'll excuse me, I have a poodle that needs violating.

The older side of this equation has to be QUITE exceptional, though...even I have standards...or something equivalent to that.
Smoke - I have the Frank Zappa song "Dirty Love" playing in my head now.

Give me, woah ho-o
Your dirty love
The way you momma make that nasty poodle do
oh frenchie!
I don't need no french aroma
or no little bo peep diploma
just put me in a coma with your dirty love
your dirty love
(or something like that there)
And smoke, I was thinking that if he didn't already know that route, he needed all the help he could get. Isn't explring for new routes part of mountainbiking? Isn't "dead end" North Vancouverese for trail at end of street?
Mr Ripper
09-22-2004, 02:15 PM
Well I didn't get to try the route on my ride, ran out of light. But a tip if on Fromme, don't drink the water from the creek :S :stupid:

In the dark
Where all the fevers grow
Under the water
Where the shark bubbles blow
In the mornin'
By yer radio
Do the walls close in t' suffocate ya
You ain't got no friends . . .
An' all the others: they hate ya
Does the life you been livin' gotta go, hmmm?
Well, lemme straighten you out
About a place I know . . .
(Get yer shoes 'n socks on people,
It's right aroun' the corner!)
Out through the night
An' the whispering breezes
To the place where they keep
The Imaginary Diseases,
Out through the night
An' the whispering breezes
To the place where they keep
The Imaginary Diseases, mmm . . .
This has to be the disease for you
Now scientists call this disease
Bromidrosis
But us regular folks
Who might wear tennis shoes
Or an occasional python boot
Know this exquisite little inconvenience
By the name of:
STINK FOOT
Y'know, my python boot is too tight
I couldn't get it off last night
A week went by, an' now it's July
I finally got it off
An' my girl-friend cry
"You got STINK FOOT!
STINK FOOT, darlin'
Your STINK FOOT puts a hurt on my nose!
STINK FOOT! STINK FOOT! I ain't lyin',
Can you rinse it off, d'you suppose?"
Here Fido . . . Fido . . .
C'mere little puppy . . . bring the slippers
"Arf, arf, arf!" (crash-crumble-bump-bump-bump)
Heh heh heh . . . sick . . .
Well then Fido got up off the floor an' he rolled over
An' he looked me straight in the eye
An' you know what he said?
Once upon a time
Somebody say to me
(This is a dog talkin' now)
What is your Conceptual Continuity?
Well, I told him right then
(Fido said)
It should be easy to see
The crux of the biscuit
Is the Apostrophe(')
Well, you know
The man who was talkin' to the dog
Looked at the dog an' he said: (sort of staring in desbelief)
"You can't say that!"
He said:
"IT DOESN'T, 'n YOU CAN'T!
I WON'T, 'n IT DON'T!
IT HASN'T, IT ISN'T, IT EVEN AIN'T
'N IT SHOULDN'T . . .
IT COULDN'T!"
He told me NO NO NO!
I told him YES YES YES!
I said: "I do it all the time . . .
Ain't this boogie a mess!"

Up Old Buck to BP. Right on BP to Seymour Rd., cross Seymour Rd, then down BP on to Indian River. At Indian River, go left a bit and then right onto BP continuation. Follow it until you're dropped out by the Marina. You now be in Deep Cove.

This sounds like a great ride. But I was told that there was no riding on the "other" side of the road. Also how technical is this trail?

There are at least 4 routes/trails from Indian River Road to Deep Cove. Some nicer than others. D.

Other side of road is not technical at all. Actually, it's quite the fun little rip.
BP is, well, the BP. You go down mostly, then some pedaling across.
