"10 headset spacer" danny brody
"chombrero" - ANDREW CHO!!
and of course "the boss" - ross measures
" the femme bots"- ryan and nick meier
"chrinny bins"- trevor chronister!!

I thought jams were only for invited pros? What are they trying to pull here.
Where's your waiver, and why aren't you at the meeting?

Priorities. School comes first, so you get your school work done before the weekend, and if you get homework friday, get it done friday right after school. Biking comes second, use the money that you work for to pay for your biking expences. Also living in vancouver helps, kinda in the middle of most things. Work comes 3rd along with family and females  ........
weird....i always thought it went BBB(bikes-brauds-beers)....i don't remember homework being anywhere in there.....:P

word on the street is that all of you that wanted to "step it up" to the next level" and do backflips will not be allowed.
no inverted tricks at the contest.
so cool huh?
give us you money, enter the contest, and "help the sport progress" but we are gonna tell you what moves you can or can not do.
welcome to a "freeride contest".
silly rabbit, tricks are for kids.

It was a sick contest, i got 6th in the grom, all the groms and juniors were throwing down, Dan something from calgary one it all though, he had a sick line of manualing the box into a no foot can and some other good stuff. Somebody there was trying a tailwhip and crahsed on that also a couple 360s were attemped 1 i think being landed.

Great comp! Congrats to all the competitors, especially the groms and juniors who showed the old gus up... lots of cool tricks thrown down, and some guys airing the quarter bigger than in the Crankworx comp!... I hear lots of bitching about not being allowed to do inverts... would anyone really have done a backflip even if they were allowed? No one even stuck a 360....
GRIZZ
09-26-2004, 08:29 PM
i thought dannny brodie stuck a 3 perect on his run:???:

what was thrown down when the groms competed?
duncs05
09-26-2004, 08:59 PM
no foot cans, one footed flatties, heelclickers etc. Kyle Mcdonald and Dan Cskonay dominated the groms. Danny did land a 360 perfectly on the jump before the quarter.:)

Super fun comp. Feel sorry for Steve cause he won the over19 but he didn't think so, so he didn't run the final so I did. Dan sure had some sweet style though. I was surprised by my placing though. Awesome comp, the groms did go off though.

:P
I watched some of the comp from GLC patio at lunch... saw a 360 attempt on the big table before the quarter pip, a hard crash off the big box, some guys stylin' it.
Kinda lame that the last jump was that little wooden kicker... nothin' great being thrown down there... it shoulda been the last jump on the biker-x instead :thepimp:

The best stuff was being thrown down in the grom and junior from no footed cans, nothings, huge suicide no handers, 360s the only one being landed by danny brodie, a tail whip attemp, some manualing of the boxes those are some of big trips ebing thrown. I was very suprised more people wernt using the boxes very good alot of people were only hiting the little box whith little tweaks off. A friend of mine filmed most of the comp and should be making a video on www.gohuckyourself.com some time. The comp was really cool and there should be more of them in the future, the only improvement i could think of would be making the course longer and opening up more of the big jumps. By keeping it to the small stuff the djers dominated with tricks.

I agreee I saw very LITTLE tricks onto and off the box.. I though that be one of the biggest things since its RIGHT INFRONT OF the JUDGES.. lol but meh
