I didn't know this but hell it's a World Championship Race, and we won it. Team Canada took the gold in the Team XC relay. You have to have an Elite Woman, an Elait Man, a U23 man, and a Junior Man.
1. Team Canada...1:09:00...13.57 mph
Leg 1: Geoff Kabush...15:50 lap...14.78 mph...Maxxis
Leg 2: Max Plaxton...16:17...14.37...Rocky Mnt-Business Objects
Leg 3: Kiara Bisaro...19:46...11.84...Gears Racing
Leg 4: Ralpael Gagne...17:07...13.67

Huh, I would have nver known. Anyway I got this off of MBA's website.

GO CANADA!!!

Wow...that sounds like an interesting concept for an XC race...I will have to check some of the sites that cover racing.

Congrats to Team :canada:!:)

"If depth is the true measure of a country's cycling strength, then Canada certainly deserves the nod as one of the world's best.

Despite fielding a team that included just one world's team relay veteran, the Canadians powered to a 24-second win over Switzerland in the opening event of the 2004 world mountain bike championships at Les Gets, France on Wednesday. It was the third relay victory in four years for Canada, which also took the world's title at Vail in 2001 and Kaprun in 2002."

Our very own Alison Sydor took the bronze in Women's XC, but there were no Canadians in the top 10 of the men's race.
