I had a bad bail 3 weeks ago and on top of breaking my collerbone I also hurt my right writst.
While the collarbone seems to be healing my wrist hasnt gotten any less sore over the past 3 weeks.
It feels fine when doing normal stuff like typing and writing and playing vids.
But when i bend it backwards it is really stiff and sore. And i gave a guy a high five yesterday and almost fainted from the pain.
Nsmb Doktors what is your diagnosis?

Stop masturbating?

I know that always makes my wrist feel like a cement mixer, and I also get gangleons (sp) from it (little balls of pocketed man-jelly)..

Stop high-fiving - that's soooooo 90's:o
It's all about fist-tapping - get w/ the times.

I would suggest seeing a real doctor if it doesn't improve soon.

probably a bad sprain..if it was broken you'd have alot harder time doing stuff like typing etc.that being said,it could be a hairline fracture i guess.
did they look at your wrist when you had the bail, or did you just mention the shoulder.

ive got perma wrist probs now, i fucked it up in june or something right by the beginning of the summer, still kept riding whis and shore and shit. my dog said it wasnt broken, maybe hairline but to wait and see if it went away.. i didnt go back. It actually is starting to feel better now, just within the last like two weeks but before if i went to do something awesome and i sorta jammed it it would killlllll or just ache for no real reason.

I say wait it out. tendon shit takes forever to heal.

the doc in emergency quicklylooked at it, got me to do a bunch of movement with it. It only really hurts when it gets bent back. Actually yesterday i rode my bike off the curb and it shot a jolt of pain throught my wrist.

anti-inflamatories (ibuprofen or better yet a Naproxen based product like "Alieve" in the US)

Ice your wrist for 20 mins a couple of times a day.

My wrist took a good 3-4 weeks to feel better aftera good crash on it.

Try to give it a break as well...no big compressions or movement.

You can always go see a phsyio like NSMB team member Colin Miller at www.sportandspinal.com

good luck with the recovery.

ligaments etc take a while. i sprained my ankle on cbc somehow hahaha but still rode out and sucked it up and started riding up the road and then said fuck it and went down and hitched up but story is that by the end of the drive home and 3 hours at home watching tv i could put pressure on it flatryl, i had to have it sidways to walk.

so i got it x-rayed and they said no breaks.

3 weeks later i was riding again and it still hurts sometiems. but i have thrashed up ankles to begin with so whatever

I sprained both my wrists badly about 8 years ago form falling off a roof. I had an Xray and it showed no breaks. But for years I would go through bouts of extreme soreness, mostly when bending backwards as well. I finally got a bone scan done which also showed nothing. It's been extremely frustrating as the docs don't really know what it is. I do get those gangleon things which seem to coincide with the pain.

It's been better in recent years, but I am on the computer all day which doesn't help!

good luck! - A

did you superman ?

did you get the wrist x-rayed also when you did the collarbone

My buddy just superman'ed on something easy and broke some little bone in his wrist/hand that apparently is hard to heal

maybe you should get a wrist x-ray?? somethings to think about

I messed up my wrist by bunny hopping too much, and it was bad for nearly a year and a half. Go to danscomp.com and get the wrist brace on there, it helps a lot. But it gets better if you don't ride your bike for a while. It sucks

I trashed my wrist about a month ago fending off a tree( jumped out at me!). Spoke to a Doctor last night about it, as it still hurt (when bent back) , he manipulated it to see if I had bust my Scaphoid, it's a little bone near the base of the thum. All seemed ok, no swelling etc. He said it should get better over 2 months if rested.

I just hope I don't land on it again for a long time yet.....
