Just thought I'd ask, seeing as the parent company of the Hyundai/Mongoose team markets "mountainboards":D

Whatever floats your boat. I'd love to see somebody ripping on one of those.
I don't mind sharing the trails with them at all.

Hahaha - I thought this was a spoof on the other "do they belong?" thread.
I'd looooove to see somebody that could shred on one and would have no objections. Unicycles are ok...seems fair enough:S

I think mountain boarders should stay out of the park and go back where they belong, after all,we're talking about MOUNTAIN BIKE parks.;)

I would be stoked if they were in the Bike Park, they can prolly rip pretty fast where if there was a unicycler or something ripping down A-line slowing down the trail that wouldnt be cool.
If they can keep up then i think it would be awsome:beer:

I would love to see someone rippin' up the BX on a mountain board and cleaning all the step ups, step downs and tables.... and 50/50 grinding the teeter HELL YEAH let 'em in!
If they're trying to have fun, then I'm pretty sure I'm against it.

That's the funniest thing I've read all day.
I would highly admire the bravery of anyone trying to ride one in the bike park. They could reserve a space in the meatwagon beforehand.

I have yet to see any mtn. board footage that shows anybody that is remotely smooth. I think it would be golden to see them getting owned every time they hit a sharp berm, table or drop.

This here my friends,is my point.
This poor young man has blindly ridden right past the reason we do the things we do,only to focus on judging the actions of others.
Ride what ever you want, whenever you want.Just learn the rules and play nice with others. The thread about wether bikes belong in skate parks is full of comments by people who obviously have no idea about ettiquete in the park but fully belive they have the right to do whatever they want.I can fully understand skaters getting pissy about us being there.Inconsiderate riders have no business in the park, any park, including the local dirt jumps.
There are tons of hack MTBers who need to learn the code and rule number 1 is;
Its your responsibility to NOT run into others or disrupt their line.
If more riders could demonstrate that they understand this, skaters would be a lot less pissy towards us.
Also bear in mind,a mountain bike probably takes up about 6 times the space in the park,so a small gang of riders can make things very crowded very fast.Imagine 6 riders whipping around in your drive way and you will get the picture.I used to ride park when it was wet.My tires have traction, skateboard wheels dont, problem solved.
And for chrissakes, wait your turn and CALL WHEN YOURE DROPPING.
should mtb's be allowed in skate parks?

This is pretty damn funny, but I bet that if a mountain boarder was slowing you down on a-line, you'd probably have a similar attitude to the skaters at the skate parks, and try to get them banned.
holy crap
i just had a dream about mountain boarders ridin whistler

Some have a hand brake on 'em. Otherwise, *shrugs*:???:
I suppose a tree or a rock would work in a pinch.
Come on in, but just dont disturb other people's lines or cut em off.

http://www.jeepmountainboards.com/ - hahahaha - first they slap thier names on bikes and stereos and everything else - now mountain boards - soon enough it will be the whistler bike park brought to you by jeep!
http://www.gear.jeep.com/ - you know you want it! hahaha
I know a few people who have tried them - the lightest injury was a broken collarbone - the worst was a 3 day coma!
