I almost exclusively run DH dual crown forks....Marz...Shiver being the preference...but haven't tried the 888 yet.
Having owned an Avy shock...I'd LOVE to rip on an Avy fork and check 'em out...but too much coin.
Boxxer...no chance in hell.
Manitou....I wouldn't mind trying them...but won't do it on my own dime.
I'd also like to try a Stratos S8 Ultra...but again, not at my expense.

ive been running and loving my 02 boxxer for the past year and a bit.
so far no problems.ive only replaced the seals once, and overhauled them at the same time.
they still run as smooth and buttery as the day i got them...they just look a little more ugly now

hmmmm, to be honest its compeltly nite and day different...

both in terms of ride quality and "feel'...

where the 888 was a unweilding pig to move about the MRD somehow feels almost "featherwieght" even thou its not really much lighter in terms of real world scale weight...

im sure some of the "feeling' of lightness comes from the invert design thou...if the 888 was a invert it might "feel" the same as the MRD...

i dotn have enuf time on a Shiver to compare for example...:???:

also the tall stack height of the 888, really killed my BIGHIT's ability to ride slowly. esp. steering precision and balance work, the MRD returned both more dramaticly then i expected...

i like a tall fork, but the 888 was simply to TALL... 8-(

to be honest the 04 SPV damping system suks if u ask me...with even 20PSI in the chamber(set to the largest size to) it was basicly unresponsive...

i ended up discovering the fork felt WAY better/ and ran fantastic with ZERO PSI in it, haahhaah....

i've been running my MRD with "noSPV' for months now... and ive been happy as a pig in shit ever since..

the left leg(spring-only side) seal appears to either have started to leak or the Prep-M/ lube oil in there has worn into a watery thin gruel that teh seal wont hold back....

the right leg (SPV damping/spring side) has never leaked a drop or even exhibited a oil ring...:thepimp:

to be honest im super happy with the MRD at this poiint.... but i wanan try the FOX DH fork...

just cuz im more of a reg style fork guy... inverts are cool, but i'd take a reg. fork if i can find a light-weight one...

and the 05 boXXer/FOX DH both appear to be exactly where im headed...

hope that anbswers your questions...

feel free to ask any more u need...;)

The main differnces are the Z150 has the QR20 setup, has steel stanchions, and probably weighs a bit more.
