I have heard from a very reliable source that the 2005 Shiver is or will be very hard to come by in Canada and it is NOT stocked as a regular item at the distributor. I guess it could be special ordered :???:

It looks like the focus is again on the 888 for 2005. Apparently, the demand for the Shiver is not that high :???:

I don't get it. I think the Shiver is the sweetest fork on the planet.

Perhaps I am alone in my thinking...

I'm not sure if Norco is bringing them in. I think they should, it seems to be a popular fork. My guess is if there was a significant market for it then they would bring it in.

There are still some 2003 Shiver's on the wall at various bike shops in the lowermainland. Maybe they are not moving enough to justify bringing in the 2005?

They sure look nice.

I loved my 02 shiver, I would consider a 05 shiver if they where brought to Canada..

Maybe because there hasnt really been much change from the 02 to the 05 shiver save for the sticker. If there are still 03 shivs on the wall, whats the point of bringing new ones in, and having to sell them in '07?

I think you'll find that next season the Shiver will be a coveted product because they finally look a little different, and they'll be hard to get a hold of.

Even if they're almost the same design as when they were first offered.

Agreed.

My 2004 Shiver is rare and I am working on getting the 2005. Once received, I think I'll hold on to it...

Last I heard, Caps on Westwood in Coquitlam had a 2003 for $1000.

Overtime also had one on the wall for a bit more. ;)

Norco is NOT carrying the new shivers. If you want one youll be buying it online from a US shop.

I think the Overtime one had a $1400 tag on it, but you gotta know there's always a deal to be had there.

The 05 Shiver looks sick. I heard rumours it wasn't even being sold into North America. They may be very hard to come by. Still is the only Marzocchi product I'd buy.

Last word that I saw from Brian Peterson was that the Shiver will not be sold in the US in '05. Although, he was a little cagey in that he said if demand was sufficient Marzocchi might reconsider. So, it looks like if you want one you may have to get it from a euro shop. It would likely be cheaper to "upgrade" a older Shiver with anodized sliders and new stickers.

IMO the Shiver is one of the rare mtb products that works really well and lasts. It doesn't need tweaking and design change every year to overcome flaws. My 2002 is pretty much the same as a 2004.

As I said before the only Marzocchi product I'd personally buy. IMO the best fork Marzocchi ever made, it seems crazy that they aren't selling them in US ... why not?
