Calling all female freeriders....

I'm working on an article right now about 'why girls ride (freeride in particular)' I'm looking for some feedback on how you got into riding, why you do it, what you love about it, etc.

hehe...well, who knows...that's why I'm asking...

actually...since I'm getting PMs from the ladies...if you guys want to throw in your two cents about why you think girls ride...I'd be curious to hear your perspective as well.

i am teaching my GF how to ride, she loves it. she explained to me, how it could be difficult for someone comepletely new to get into the scene and know where to go etc. so she is happy that i can introduce her to it.

girls ride because they can.
girls ride for the same reason everyone else does because its fun, you are getting excercise and nothing can beat a ride with friends and beers afterwards.

Thats kind of funny... I have been riding with some ladies before and it deffinetly pushes me harder if they are better riders than me.

I noticed girls who have ridden horses have a good background for freeride and it seems like way more girls ride horses than guys

they are used to falling off a moving object and a bike is actualy closer to the ground than a horse

As far as why girls ride, I would have to guess that not all dudettes are mall addicts, etc. and just like us dudes, they have adrenal needs to satisfy...and just being in the woods is a great stress reliever. Ultimately, I'm sure they just get off on watching us guys making total fools of ourselves out there.:P

In the states, not many girls ride. Its cool to ride with girls, they are fun....Do alot of guys really get freaked out when a girl is better?

i rode with these two ladies at Whistler one day, it was fun, they were cool. Gidget you should look gfor them , strangly they both were on Norcos?? lol:thepimp: They were rippers though....hehe
