I always see these crazy dh'ers whip their rear end around switch backs or practically "drift" your bikes downhill! How do they do that!

sometimes its a combo of unweight'n the rear tire and using your saddle/legs to shift the bike around...

other times u can simply use your frt brakes to get into a tailwhip scenario...

both are supa handy to learn and use....:thepimp:

It's like bunny hopping but not lifting up your front end.

its like a mini hip. i do it on some turns going down the shore on my ht. same idea as nose mannying a bit to get around a sharp turn on a skinny.

I wish I could put into words 1/2 of the things I do on a bike.
As switchbacks are still one of my weaker points, I suppose I'll just wish you luck.

Once, when working on a trail, I saw a DH racer do that. It was damn impressive. But I then proceeded to scold him out for chewing up the trail. :P

We'd mob to the next switchback and start the next section of trail until, somehow, his dog was in front of us again!! Right as I was going WTF, I saw how it got there...that damned cheating dog.
