Hey I came upon this little ditty here on Bikemag's website. Oakley will be making Fox brand Eyewear and other stuff as well.
this was posted on Sept 7th 04.

"Oakley, Inc. today announced that it has signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Fox Racing, Inc. for sunglasses, goggles and prescription eyewear. "

I remember only jocks used to wear oakley. This was even before mumbos! A cool set of oakley blades and a mullet to go with a football jersey. It was like if you wore Oakley it meant you were moving faster! Since I didn't want to look like the cookie cutter jocks I got the frogskins. They were take-offs on ray bans but didn't look like Oakley so they were OK.

I knew guys that got beat up because they had Joke-ly stickers in the oakley writing on their cars.

how can you whore a product so bad, let alone one where you dont even know the guys who own it and its a huge multinational corp.

For the last time it's all about personal preference. We're not telling you to go and buy Oakley, like right now... He just happens to love the Oakley gear, now please do not turn my thread into a Oakley Hater session. I just posted the article as a news favour.

I'll be surprised if its actually good stuff, and not just a marketing department's stab at what they think X-treme riders want. They always seem to offer clown suits with big ugly bright graphics. Looking at Brian Lopes' outfit makes me envy the blind.

Companies like Idun or Mace are/were more tuned in
