For all those of you looking for that mello song from Slackstring called "Sunday Jen", it can be purchased from their download site.
This is the song that is playing during the Hawaii scene in the film 'The Collective'.
Here is an excerpt from an email that I received today:
Due to popular demand, and the incredible film, The Collective (http://www.thecollectivefilm.com), we are pleased to release our first single “Sunday Jen.” Click the link below, and follow the instructions to buy the track for 99 cents (plus some bull#$%* service fee Paypal tacked on)
buy it here (https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business=fo77%40hotmail.com&item_name=Sunday+Jen&item_number=01&amount=0.99&return=http%3A//www.crazewire.com/forrest/slackstringorder.htm&no_note=1¤cy_code=USD)
Go and support this wicked band. Please don't stick this on Kazaa or Limewire etc. These guys are not signed to any big record deal or anything, they just make cool music.
You can also purchase a copy of their cd from their website at www.slackstring.com. I did, and it's pretty darn good.
Take it easy. :)

That's what it is. For the single, Sunday Jen, you pay the buck or so and then you go to their download site. For me, the mp3 played in Internet Explorer, but if you go to your temp internet files folder, you just copy it from there. (There's probably an even easier way). If you want their debut album, you pay $10 U.S. and they ship it to your door. (with shipping, I paid $15 CDN)
BTW, CDN dollar is really high this week so you'd probably pay a little less than I did. ;)

it prompts you. You should get directed to a download site. There is a picture of the band playing and you click on the picture and put in the password.

Fuck sending it out for free, if you like their song, 99 cents is NOTHING to pay for a song. Buck up and show some respect.

I too was never forwarded to a download site and haven't had the song e-mailed to me. I have sent them a copy of my receipt via e-mail and asked that they somehow get me the song. It is only a buck something, but you try to do things the right legal way you know.
Hopefully I'll get a response soon.

most likely not them.
there's a reggae band that plays alot up there in the summer. every wednesday at the GLC. does covers etc. pretty good, id usually chill there and have lunch to some live tunes. i forget the name, the lead singers roommate was tellin me their bands name etc at the pizza place. apparently they play garf sometimes too since she said i should come to it.
this was all back in august, so maybe it's changed.
