Viddy cam question

I just bought a sony handycam and Im wondering if anyone else on here uses one for filming, and if so, which software do you use to upload the footage?

I have a canon optura 20 and I just use adobe premire to upload and edit the footage. It works with any camera Ive uploaded footage from sony handycams on it too.

model number would help, most sony camcorders are called handycams.

I got a samsung dv cam and i use ms moviemaker2 that comes with Xp.

Its a DCRHC20.The software that game with it is garbage or not working with my computer.

my friend has some kind of digital 8 sony handycam - he uses adobe premiere.

i use final cut pro 3, which is a far superior program imho - but you need a mac for that.

also, both of those are very expensive.

what you could try though is avid freedv - it's free, and a similar interface to the other two. avid is one of the major players in video editing, their high end editing programs are what most tv stations use i believe.
