How can you complain that you arent booming with people when you only seem to post sessions on nsmb? You might want to print out some panphlets and leave them with a bunch of LBS's. Every shop has a place where you can post upcoming biking events/news. It just seems logical as your customers are the LBS's customers.

i think its simply a case of indoor "Park style" riding isnt popular enuf...

simple case of economics im afraid...

to few people who "pay to play" = not enuf revenue to pay the rent...

the woodyard is totally and awesome place to ride but when its 30 degrees out and everyone wants to ride outside its hard to get people who are willing to pay to ride when they can easily ride for free outside.

it would be sad to have to see ron and roberta have to close the woodyards doors.

ummm.... he does. Just not at MTB shops for the most part, Go to Ride On or 3-ride and he's got big posters. Feeblebmx.com is another forum where he get's the word out.

I think thats just it...right now it's so nice out that it would be hard for people to justify spending a little money to ride inside on ramps when there are parks and the urban to ride in the nice sun.
wait untill october, when its pouring rain.. and i bet they'll all be knocking at your door ron.

we do have posters up at shops in the lower mainland. This isn't the only place where we advertise upcoming events.

I think that most riders will pay to ride when there is nowhere to ride because of the weather. The woodyard has just got a rocky start! We've had the driest summer ever, with no rain since March. It's been tough and we're thankful for all of our supporters. The name of the game now is to make it until fall when we know that things will pick up. And what really matters is that little kids are learning to ride in a safe and positive environment.....after all that is what Ron always wanted.

When you see a little kid in awe watching Dave Osato or Chris D. or some of the other great riders and he whispers "I wanna be just like that when I grow up!" makes you realize what the woodyard was built for. It's to have a goal, a passion...is what it's about.

Easy for people to give advice, or tell us how we are not going to make it....but don't all of you skeptics think that it's better to try than never to do it at all??? I do!!

we are breading the new generation of riders who will kick ass! and quite frankly that is good enough for me!

i wish i lived closer, id come every night. im starting to learn to bmx and am always wishing i had a place to ride and learn at night...

people dont realize that going to the woodyard if only a couple times a week during the summer will secure a place to ride all winter when the weather is shitty..

this is a no-brainer as far as justifying paying to ride when its 30 degrees outside...its a case of securing a riding spot for future use: an investment!

Ride woodyard now. Ron busted his ass to get that place up and I think a little support would go a long way. I mean the place is non sponsered and ran by just ron himself. He even runs camps for kids. Like this is a good place to keep around. Just go on the 28th and show a bit of support. Keep it up until winter at least.

Don't you mean the big kids? That army of BMX super-kids your raising don't seem to be scared of anything. :)
