Okay, whose mom here rides a .243? I saw a family of groms, mom and pop on some killer bikes that were so clean!

Oh, those poor-poor children. The hells that they must endure. In their honor, I shall now throw a pity party.:(

when i was doing some building earlier in the season i talked to a family who where all riding freeride bikes.looked like the dad had been at it a while,he was riding the old school shore bike(ie:XC type frame, old school Z1,bashgaurd,etc etc). they came and checked out my trails, walked over a everything and(to the embarassment of their 14 year old son) said I was "crazy" for riding or building any of that stuff.
after they checked my trails out they really seemed to have a shift in attitude...they seemed to talk to me like i was some sort of rabid animal.
weird people these days,i'm telling ya.

well, when i first came down i had my splitting axe and that because i was not sure if it was a bear that was down there.anyways, when i saw it was people i chucked it into the bushes, but i just kinda sauntered out of nowhere, started yammering on about trails and riding and stuff then carried on about riding cypress for a while.

Ah, it's a shock & awe thing.

I'd guess there's more and more people out that are finally beginning to understand (to a lesser degree) what we already know.

Haha, I know a family and the parents and kids don't go big or even try anything that's considered big, yet they all have full-faces and top of the line freeride bikes.:P

OMG OMG, WHAT POSERS!

If you can afford that stuff, why not use it? You're telling me you wouldn't start out on an M! if you were given the option? Don't lie.

Is he sponsored by Steed Cycles? There was a write up in the NS News last year about a family of four that were regulars on the BC Cup circuit.

Nope no sponsers. but his oldest kid is 13 and is super fast XC. Pretty cool way to spend time with your kids IMO
