Yes, it's at the bottom of Ned's. Keep going straight down, then take the trail on the right.
Pangor should get 2 days. It's a great trail, but gets really bad when it rains. Just draining and rocking that trail would make it a great year round trail. A crew of 50 people could probably fix most of the big holes, leaving Chris time to do other stuff, such as the ladder work. A ladder up the hill after the swamp bridge would be nice, hint hint ;)

try ....
.... elevator !

Elevator - nah, it's too long a distance. Maybe an escalator.
Boogieman has the huge ladder to get out of that hole. The section on Pangor is pretty long too, and would definitely require a lot of work.

me too./....big ramps are fun to build

Oh yes switch, a long winding ramp is coming for the hike a bike on pangor. Putty and I were up there a couple of weeks ago and scoped the thing out. It will start quite early and contain at least 2 small switch backs. I thought about using the thin rung, thick rung concept to give it good grip.
However, there are more pressing matters on pangor. i.e. drainage and some hideously muddy sections. Maybe putty and I can get a mini-trial day up there sometime and finish the ramp. Let's wait and see what putty thinks.

Sounds great! Drainage is definitely an issue on the trail. It's such a sweet trail when dry, but when it rains there'a s lot of deep muddy sections.
One thing you might want to do, if you have time, is take out the failing ladder near the bottom. It's the one that goes up on to a long at a sharp angle. That thing is pretty much impossible to ride, and there's nails sticking out on it and the log.

the switchback idea is definately a good one, make it challenging, but not impossible for the intermediate rider on the trail, without the kind of consequences we have been reading about in the north shore news.
you can always put in an optional harder line, especially if we cut through from boogie before boogiewoman log, as discussed in some other threads and with dwicks.
i don't think that should be a trail day project, but I would like to have 5-7 people available over a weekend. i think that could get it done. dwicks, me and pops, bullit_kid and his punk ass friends, switch, wilkez and niggz if they want to help should be able to get the job done.
i want to go up and check out how the berms are looking up at the top. anyone seen them lately? have they shrunk like like tits on a dieting fat chick?

chris, would this plan be fisable ?
completley rebuild the swamp monster making it a little more technical with maybe a simple teetor or sumthing .. as soon as your back on dry land again, you get onto a bridge that runs along the edge of the swamp and the edge of the hill and the connects with the large boogeyman bridge (after the log) the bridge would be a nice simple bridge (wide like cbc) with a few maybe technical lines off to the side .. also if the bridge went up and down i think that everyone could enjoy it ..
id be down for helping, plus you would be able to close off the now eroding hill we have to climb up !

i want to re-pave swamp monster with cedar, but not make it any more difficult, on the contrary, i want to make the entrance and exit wider and flowier. i don't think any mandatory stuff on pangor should be difficult, it is an intermediate trail and should stay like that.
i was thinking about putting in a more difficult second bridge through there but it would be optional...no reason why there can't be a skinny or something running beside the a-line to challenge more advanced riders, esp if cut over from boogie before boogiewoman log
but that's just my opinion.
cheers

Easiest thing is after the swamp build a long ladder running up the hill. Some parts might be steep, but all the he-men with their 50lb rigs will just have to suck it up and pedal. :D

i would definately be interested in helping out and im sure tyler would be too. i think the idea of a whole new ladder on pangor would be better than connecting to boggieman and i really like this idea of switchbacks:D :D

I agree. Connecting to Boogieman shouldn't be in the equation. The problem is the climb out of the swamp area on Pangor. If at some point down the road a connection between the trails is required (or wanted) before the swamp, then it can be dealt with then. The climb will always be there, whether there's a connecting trail or not.

I also agree. Connecting Boogie to Pangor before Boogiewoman log should be done, but it should be done after we solve the hike a bike problem.
Sounds like we will have a good crew up there this weekend to get a lot of work done.
