HEY,

First off let me say that I am truly jealous as hell of all of you who live within the Whistler area.

With that being said, in a week I am on my way, along with a couple of buddies, to BC for approx. 3 weeks of riding.

We've been told a greatplace to start will be Fernie or Panorama and that we should work our way west (obviously). The problem I am having is trying to pick the best spots. We would like to hang for a few days in each place, maybe a week in Whistler. But by my calculations, we could spend 3 months in BC and still not hit it all.
Maybe a little input from those in the know would help us on our way.
We're not new to the "on the edge" type of riding. We've built some pretty impressive stuff out here on the prairies. Were doin 10-12 foot drops out here with some gaps that measure out around 18 feet or so.
I guess what i am asking for is a little description of the trails you guys are riding. Not Whistler necessarily, I've read a lot already. but the other's like Panorama, Fernie, Kamloops and maybe Golden.

Thanx in advance.

Peace

RMOW-You could easily spend a week in Nelson and a week in Rossland and still not ride all the trails. PM me if you're coming this way.

Haardt- rider- BC is probably a lot cheaper than Germany. I've met lots of Europeans that fly into Vancouver or Calgary, rent a van and camp in it driving around to all the riding spots. It's easy to hook up with informal guides either on here or at bike shops, just be friendly and people will show you around. Bed and breakfasts' will run $75 and up, a hostel is a round $20 and camping is free to $30. These are rough estimates in Can.$.

Kamloops-some parts loose kinda sandy dirt. faster paced than the shore.

Panorama bike park-kinda like the shore some trails are more technical than Whistler. definetly worth it

Nelson-lots of stunts/woodwork

You could aslo check out Squamish, between Vancouver and Whistler

Thanx Trout :)

i´ve heard from friens that BC will be cheaper than germany but i´ve no imagine how much money i´ll spend in 6 weeks ;)
I hope that 500-700€ will be enough for a week...all inclusive

Íf i´ll find anybody who will drive around in a (camping-)van i´ll prefer this!

Of course i´ll be friendly:) ...and io hope i´ll meet some friendly bikers too ;)
