i have a boxxer right now, and i have an opportunity to trade for a z150. the fork is on a medium 03 bullit. the z150 has its ups and downs. i think it would be a lot of fun though. i want to do it i just need some convincing. lets here what you have to say.

another thing, how are the forks? idealy i would want to get a 66 but i cant wait that long. what would resale value on the z150's be like? those who have ridden them tell me what you think

definitely drop the rock shox... rumor is they may be out of business if next season's sales dont pick up... so it's worth dumping while you can still get rid of them. Marz isn't going anywhere and are simply better manufacturers if you live in Canada. Rock Shox customer service (ie Cycles Lambert) is trash while Norco does an awsome job dealing with Marz issues.

the only issues i could see with the boxxer is oil/seal work, same with the marzocchi's. i want to know about the forks themselves, and not so much about the company, although that is somthing to keep in mind for sure

I have the Z150 FR (dual coil) as opposed to the SL (air). While i am no expert on forks, I have nothing but good things to say. Friends of mine who are in the know say that it is quite possibly the best single crown fork out there, both by literature and riding mine, which is on a 04 Switch by the way.

i know one guy with the z150 on his morphine, he loves it, says it feels better than his 03 slider6" thst he replaced it with, stiffer too in his opinion. a guy at work has a z 150 fr sl qr20+ and though he is just getting it set up, it feels very good, and way light 5.0 lbs w/uncut steerer!!! eta is super cool for long climbs

if rockshox sales do not pick up sram could sell the brand, but get real it is such a recognizable brand. do you think it would ever really go away? I doubt that sram would be selling so soon after buying it what 18 months ago? and by the way cycles lambert has wicked customer service, you may not have had a good experience because of your lbs??? they air freight shox parts to us all the time. :thepimp: imagine from quebec to k-town in one business day!! no kidding!

trade onlyy
no chance Rock shoX is going under....
i dont beleive that for a second...
rock shox sells SOOOO many XC forks every year...while the boXXer might not be a frontline top seller compared to the total number of freride forks sold each year. it hardly matters to Rockshox's bottom line s they sell more into the trail/XC market anyways...
i bet boXXer sales (outside of race teams) are pure cake as far as they are concerned...

well since marz makes the best forks around, i would not be suprised to see some type of change happening at rockshocks.
but shutting down? its possible if they dont step up and make a quality fork.

for what kind of riding ???
the boXXer world cup is a wicked DH race fork... hard to beat its combination of damping quality with light weight chassis...
for a freeride fork the boXXer is def. below the Dorado or Shiver...
if i was racing seriosuly i'd run a boXXer for sure...
