When we first woke up Saturday morning after driving 10hrs from Van, it looked like shit and we were a little upset about the possibility of having another Bear Mtn mud fest.

By early afternoon, things were looking a bit better. It stopped raining and the weather was starting to clear.

Some dude working the phones.
Actually, we asked him where the 'start' of the course was and he didn't know.... but he said he'd find out.

Me, jumping up on the box, pretending to win something.

For some reason, there were more V-10's and Cannondales at Panorama than I have ever seen in my life. Out of every ten bikes there were 5 V-10's, 3 Cannondale Gemini's, 2 Bullits and 1 Giant. And a few other brands scattered around for fill.

Couple of shots near the finish line.

This is James, the guy I drove up with.
He bought his first mountain bike last summer,
entered his first DH race last weekend and finished 7th!
Not bad.
