I know iv seen this on xc wheels. But on a wheel that is supposed to take any abuse? I personally would not trust that thing.

yea, we know... this type of design is reserved for wealthy peoples disposable XC wheels and your average roadies....
that wheel has no lateral strength.

Its a 32 spoke wheel. Its no stronger or weaker than any other 32 spoke wheel out there.
Deemaxes are 28 spoke wheels and people huck large on them, and you dont see them folding.

yeah but 28 vs 16, don't you think 16 is too little. Unless they are made from some crazy material, I don't think thats very smart.

That bike has no brakes, no chain, no derailer, no shifters. I think he has bigger problems that a tacoed rim!?!

but there is a lot of empty rim!! what is it? a 2 cross pattern?

it's a 32 spoke rim and it looks beefy should be pretty strong

those thing's r super strong. my friend matt rides a pair and he hucks the meat, and at the end lof the season not even a wobble.
