wouldn't mind a little play around on one of these:
Biomega’s Brooklyn bicycle, designed by the Danish designer Jens Martin Skibsted is being launched in fall 2004.
The Brooklyn is very urban in the American sense of the word. It is designed as with a free style BMX in mind with heavy duty steel pedals & frame. The wheels are smaller & the tyres are extremely fat to give it a bouncing ability yet unseen. There’s nothing practical about this town hopper made for keeping it fun regardless of how harsh the terrain might be. You can take this bike from your habitual city playground to a dune or a heap of snow & maintain your thrust. The Brooklyn has eminent breaking power covered by mechanical disc brakes & stays in tune with the Biomega style & elegance with its leather saddle & cool gear. Try the toughest free style grind yet - in luxury.

it wouldn't be fun atall, it would be so heavy, and the tires are so huge you wouldnt be able to pedal it around.
regulat bmx's are hardenough to ride up hills or around town.... let alone a bmx with a tire off the front of a trike

That would be awesome for a really really bumpy, steep DH trail:D:D
just lower the tire pressure, and you got traction to the max, and the ability to soak up the little stuff with the tires alone.

Hmmm... the rolling resistance would be pretty bad on tires like that woudn;t it?

That big one is a Hannebrink or something.
As for the little one... Wouldn't the pedals hit the ground everytime? The cranks look awfully long for the height.

Wrong.
Helluva lot easier to pedal a bmx around than it is a big clunky mountainbike.

wrong. not unless you're a midget. they're too small for just riding around. kill your back riding a mile on a bmx

Sorry but I have to disagree.
I could come back with the arguement that mtnbikes are too big.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Personally, I'd ride my bmx around the city anyday over my mtb; smaller wheels and higher psi rated tires = a much easier and effortless ride.
I got over the back thing pretty quick..just a matter of getting used to it.
Like I said its all in personal preference and this is only my opinion. 8)

Read my above post Dean.
Some bikes are easier for others to ride.
Know what? Just forget I said anything.
