NSMB and its diehard members for giving me the drive and determination to keep going on with my Weight loss.
As many of you know, It all started back in 2001 when I reached a whopping 360 pounds. Having been severly overweight for the vast majority of my life, I decided it was time for a drastic change, and it needed to happen fast. I couldnt go on living with myself having the feelings of being a loser, being a disgrace to my family, and many more thoughts.
January 2001 I decided to change my whole lifestyle out of the blue, and in that month, I amazed myself by dropping 20 pounds! Thats where it all began, and by May, I was down to 300, which was still much more than I had anticipated being, but much better than 360 however! Then came June, and it was time to spend some of this well deserved money I had saved up through my job at the grocery store! So here I go into McBike shop, and purchase my first ever bike, a 2001 Kona Nunu!
From there, it was all downhill( :P ) buying bigger bikes and progressing with the sport as fast as my weight loss.
So the point of this story is me giving a big shout out to you folks who kept me interested in this fine sport we have the honour of participating in.
And if any of you are wondering, I am now at 190! Almost tooo skinny for my height, being 6'1:P Thank you all, and one day I shall thank you in person, on the Oprah Winfrey Show:cool:!
One last shout out to the Mods, thanks for keeping this family together.

Damn, Jason...that's nearly 1/2 your orig. weight!!:damn:

The added bonus would have to be all the experiences you have had over the last few years - and the anticipation of what lies ahead.
Good for ya!!

I would rather be fit and looking good, than worried about keeping momentum.

way to go! you must feel like a million bucks and it sounds like you deserve it. The mountain biking movement has helped alot of people i know. I mean like 50 year old guys that went out with their kids one day and are on downhill rigs like a month later and it changes their lives!
Awesome sport eh.

wow, congrats. That is really impressive. Inspirational for some of those kids who are in the same position that you were and think that they don't have a chance.

i am proud to say that Jason is my cousin and my riding buddy. It has been amazing to be there every step of the way and to see him progress to where he is at now. To know him as well as I do is amazing, he truly is one of the nicest, most confident, and most motivated person i've ever met. He motivates me to try my best and work hard at my goals in life. I wish him all the best on this journey we call life. For everywhere he goes on his bike, I'll be there with him, watching him go to lengths he never could before.

Gratz Jason!
Any helpful hints? Exercise? Lower fat diet? Weight Watchers?
Yo Rat (is he still around, after moving to Langley?): Wasn't your wife doing WW? And you were sorta... "tagging along"? If so, how's it going?
I can't say "who", but someone in my household was doing it too, and I just hung out with her during the meetings and stuff. It kicked ass... awesome system/advice.

Ipe, I tried alot of stuff, but what has seemed to work the most has been keeping a very balanced diet, while being very active/excercising a good amount! You lose the fat very fast!
Almost too fast for me:P!
