There's not too much in my manual about this. I presently have the yellow or soft springs in my boxxer team. I've adjusted the high speed compression to one and a half turns from it's max out point and as well dialed in the rebound and low speed compression. Yet I still seem to have near bottom out problems off of very small drops that my old 2002 DJ 1 could handle. I'm 170 lbs....should I buy heavier springs or it there something else that could work? Also how do adjust preload?? is it possible to add spacers to adjust the preload?

Check your oil height, more oil height will make the fork more progressive.
I find RS Boxxer spring recommendations a little light, that might be it is a DH fork, not a FR fork. For FR use you need heavier springs.
I'm about 200lbs and run 2 red springs. (02 TiNi Boxxer)

im 120 lbs and i run soft springs and on flat landings that are about 5-6ft i bottom.... but any thing with a landing its fine like 10+ drops and still have travel kickin.... you need at leased meddiums or some thicker oil if you want it to bottum less

What year is your fork?
For 2000 forks, the set up guide is on page 36 of the Rock Tuning manual.
For someone 170lbs it says to run 2 silver springs, but in my opinion that is way to light.
As I said I run two red springs. For someone 200lbs they suggest a silver and a yellow. When I tried even 2 yellow springs it was to light for me.
The 2001 owners manual has different suggestion again.
170 lbs = 2 yellows.
200 lbs = 1 yellow & 1 red.
Let me know if you want copies of these PDF files and I can email them over to you.
I don't have an electronic copy of the 2002 manual though, just a paper copy. (If anyone has an electronic copy of the 2002 manual, can you email it to me?)
