I ended the bb in my 03 a-line, and on the norco site it says "Truvativ DH 113mm ISIS" - can I replace it with a "FSA Platinum 73x113mm ISIS" ?

I am going to buy a tool and do it myself I think...
is something like this : http://bikeroom.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=TL0566 (Pedro's BB Socket) all I need other than allen keys?

thanks.

RaceFace and FSA BB's use the normal standard... with a tool that looks like

http://bikeroom.com/mmMYBIKE/Images/LARGE/Q/TL0566.JPG
$13.50 at MEC (http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=670309&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=133837&bmUID=1087483132661)

Truvativ's are a bit different...

$26 at MEC (http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=670309&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=336479&bmUID=1087483132660)

So you are going to need 2 BB tools for the job.

Also, you have to get your cranks off with an ISIS crank puller. This will work with all ISIS and Octalink cranks.

$18 at MEC (http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp;jsessionid=ARs6d19wLYozKXhpb61H DlSiwdeVuS7ZhvDmT4aScn2Ws02xVpOs!-320211611!170918972!2003!7002?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_i d=670309&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=336475&bmUID=1087483066357)

Procedure:

1. Remove crank bolts.
2. Use crankpuller to remove cranks.
3. Unthread non drive side BB cup.
4. Unthread driveside BB cup.
5. Clean the frame threads with isopropyl if you want.
6. Thread in drive side new BB
7. Thread in non drive side new BB.
8. Put cranks on.
9. Tighten cranks with the crank bolts

Be super careful when threading in your new bb. I was a little pushy with mine and I crossed threaded my frame a litte bit (it got fixed).

yes, careful with threads

you don't really need the TruVativ tool, you can hand tighten and then tap it tight with a screwdriver and hammer. And if you have a non-Isis crank puller it will work with Isis with some minor mods.
