Hey guys,
Quick question.

I'm riding a 2002 Rocky Mountain Pipeline, and it currently has a Fox Vanilla R(6.5 i2i, 1.5 stroke)

I'm getting more into DH and freeriding and was thinking, would a different rear shock make the ride more plush? I'm thinking somehting like a progressive or something? It may be I'm running to high of a spring weight (950lbs, I'm 145 lbs?)

Any suggestions would be awesome.

Thaks

Byron

I'm 170lbs and have an 800lb spring, no problems. I would suggest at lighter spring. Rocky sends there 16.5" with a 700lb, 18" with a 800 and the 19" with a 900lb spring.

Get a new frame, not a new shock. Look for something in the 6 or 7" range, used if at all possible.

And that spring weight is waaaaaaaay too high. try a 550#, or something like that. Ask the lbs fo sho.
