for some who does trail riding on the shore, and nothing to big or crazy.

just curious as i need new bars, and eventually a new stem.

so to those who have oversized bars... can you notice any difference?

i'm thinking either the easton ea70 and stay with 25.4 and get a new stem later. OR, go all out and get the race face oversize diabolus setup... :thepimp:

i have the diabolus setup and im really happy with it.

my friend has a 25.4 diabolus stem and a azonic bar and my diabolus bar feels stiffer than the azonic.

once i put the oversize stem and bar on my bike, i hit a jump in my yard and could easily tell the difference from my old cromo bar.

i reccomend the diabolus stuff.

and its :thepimp:

Get the diabolous stem either way. I got a std size one on my (brand-new) Bullit & it looks dope. Also, that way you don't have to buy the new stem & bars right now. You can just get your bars & then buy the stem when you have a bit more bling (assuming that's a consideration, of course).

I, like you, don't really need the oversize, but I rode it on a whistler rental & I admit, it has a certain confidence-inspiring quality.

this is my setup. is it better because its oversize? who knows. i use this because the added beefiness gives me confidence.

You can get the Easton EA70 OS bar for $80 and the Easton Vice OS stem for $75, it is the same price as the standard sized stuff and a way better deal than the Diabolus, plus there will be quite a large weight difference between the 2 set ups. Check the stuff out at Cove or John Henry's.

ya the diabolus is a little more pricy then i thought.

was quoted $100 + $140 for oversize diabolus bar and stem.

if the easton stuff is really available for around $150 bar and stem then I may have to pass on diabolus...

plus, i forgot, but i run a stem pad. so the pimp flames on the diabolus stem would be wasted anyways ;)

Check out the Mantou / Answer website. They have a Pro taper oversized bar. I have one and love it. Feels better the the Race Face IMO. Here is the link;

i ride o/s on my big bike and standard on the little bike. o/s is, in my opinion, better. it feels stronger, is stiff as a board, and i never think about bar snappage.

Defantly worth it if you ride hard, i noticed a big rigidty increase when i switched to 31 8, it is sweet to look down at a huge bar too, confidence inspiring that it isnt gonna snap, if you are a racer type or geeky bastard that loves bars that damping bumps you wont like it, but if u like stiff acruate parts u will love it, i know i do.

This is good stuff, I have this setup, it's really stiff, and it looks really cool.

For trails, the Diabolus stuff would be good I think, my IMO the Diabolus stem is too long, and bad for street and Dirt jumps.

+ Manualling is supposed to be harder with a longer stem.

i got mine from on pot. had it for about a year. no problems. nice long bars too. when i first got them put on, i noticed a huge difference in both steering and being able to leverage the bike wiht the bar, most likely due to increased bar length.

would get them again.

Not sure, but you can order them direct from www.deitycomponents.com Or just shoot Eric an email, he'll help you out.

If Nigel Q. can't break their shit, I'm pretty sure none of you can ;)

And that .243 bar is reallllly sexy in real life, as is the stem.
