thats a pretty crazy place for the fork to break...was it impact damge from a harsh crash or what???..
i cant imagine what would cause the lowers to snap in half otherwise...

I saw a couple of broken shermans at the bike expo in Calgary, I think Sam bent his actually. They are strong, but everything will fail eventually.

All the Shermans could go to 3".
Just don't ride in that setting, or you will wreck your fork!
DangerousDean
05-30-2004, 07:53 PM
uh no, mine goes to 4"
6" - 5 1/4" to be exact!!!

just cuz they have lots of exposed stnaction doesnt mena the over all fork is tall..
my 6" Sherman slider is actually quite short overall... to short in fact to use on my BIGHIT... even the 7" Slider+ i found to be to short...
its a good 1.5"s shorter then a super-T...
my 6" Slider has 8"s of exposed stanction by the way...cuz my HT has a short headtube...
