I need to save some money on my bike setup :(
If I'll but an Jr T will it be possible to later exchange it's damping cartridges to HSCV?

break down the prices and compare that to just buying the right fork to begin with.

Yes, you will be able to; bear in mind though that it'll cost you more in the long run to upgrade to the the HSCV cartridge than to just buy a Super T from the beginning. Ultimately, that's what most of your money is paying for when you buy a fork: the internals (i.e. A DJ III could have the same uppers and lowers as a Z1 FR, but the HSCV cartridge is the $200 difference between the two).
If you're not doing a lot of downhill, or fast riding over rough terrain, the Jr. T should work for you. It'll feel OK for drops, but when it gets bumpy, it won't be as responsive as a Super T.

I know it'll cost me more but I can't afford Super T now and just wonder will it be possible to change the cartridge lets say next year.
Thanks for help

Also, if you're building up a new bike, seriously consider paying the extra for the Super T and saving the money on other components. Your suspension will affect your ride more than your drivetrain, handlebars, stem, seatpost, seat... so if you can, put the money into getting the better fork and save some money on the less important parts. Those parts will be much easier to upgrade in the future than the fork.

I have just (yesterday) gone from an 03 Jr. T to an 03 Super T on my ASX (note the 04's no longer have dual HSCV - one side has been downgraded to SSV cause they want u to buy 888's...) boy oh boy what a difference much smoother on DH trails and far more controlled on drops (no more spiking!) Try and get lucky and get an 03 super t like i have.

how much did it cost You to upgrade?
I was thinking about 04 super t. when You have hscv in one leg and ssv or ssvf in other hscv won't work on it's best.Am i wrong?
I haven't tried any but i think it won't work much better than 04 jr.t

You're right - its not gonna perform as well as the 03 model. Shame, cause the 03 is a great fork and not nearly so long as the 7'' 888's or as heavy as a shiver DC.

i think the internals upgrade isn't much more than $50-75US. my buddy traded his shiver with another buddies '04 junior, then bought the super-t internals for racing. i guess it makes sense when you're trading a fork with someone. ;]

Buy a 03 slider, nearly same price mabey cheaper and way better of a fork.

I looked into this, same story wanted a bigger fork in a hurry so i got a jr.
later tried to upgrade the internals , it seems to be quiet a job (so i was reliably(sp?) informed ,holes dont match up and shite)
Ended up selling the fork and buying a shiver:thepimp: but it did cost me .
Get a loan if you have to its cheaper to buy what you want from the start, you,ll never be happy with a jr .t if you're thinking like that before you buy it

I just checked into this at my LBS. I was told that the cost would be like $150 US and it would take roughly 2 weeks turn around time. After riding Whistler last weekend I now know exactly what it means to have my fork pack up on me...
I wish I would've just thrown down the cash up front but didnt realize just how much of a difference there was.

Gotta thinka that over...Maybe I just go with the sherman army and buy slider +. It's cheaper than super t but I don't know what the service will be like here in poland :/
