been saving up some money lately and i think it might be time for a new bike. i dont wana spend toooo much and i dont need top of the line stuff. just a good solid platform, and when parts start breaking i can slowly upgrade. this bike will be mostly for north shore and dj, and of course some whistler. so what would you guys suggest? i want a hardtail. ive been looking at some bikes, and i was kinda interested in the cannondale chase.. any oppinions? is it shore worthy? so i need a good shore hardtail that can dj...ill prolly swap some old parts. budget==$1500 cdn around. i have a fork so i wont need to get one.

thanks

I'd have to go with Airborne here, I rode a hucker for 2 years, awsome bike.

You can't go wrong with the parts spec and the price.

When I got my bike this year, I chose this year's Devinci Hucker over the Sasquatch and some other bikes in the price range (Oryx DD66, Kona Stuff, Jamis Komodo FX). Yes, the Devinci is at the top of the price range, but it certainly backs it up with quality components. Not only that, but the frame is really nice; the geometry makes it a very versatile bike - freeride, DJ, even some XC. It's a bit hefty, but it's still lighter than the Sasquatch, and definitely more versatile than the Chase.

My only regret with the bike is not holding off on the purchase, because the later models came with SRAM X.7 parts, and the shop I got it from now packages it with a free full face helmet.

Hucker, I was quite dissapointed in myself when I got a Sasquatch instead of a Hucker last year

don't forget the FLOW by RM its cool, i like it cause it jumps well but its got a higher bb than the specialized p bikes so it can hit the trails better.

I would say .243, but it looks like you're looking for a complete bike. So in that light I'd say Devinci Hucker, and put a D/C fork on it. There is the Banshee Morphine, and many others as well. I'm schleepy, so dat's all.
