So I went for a lengthy test ride on a Gemini today equipped with a 2003 6 inch Slider...While I was initially very impressed with the ride of the fork, I later began to notice a few strange "quirks".

First of all, is it normal for the fork to feel sticky in its travel...I'm assuming the fork just needs a little TLC but, I thought I'd ask anyways...

is it NEW ???

i didnt know the C'dale came with a 6"Slider... ???

my buddy bought one recently but his has the nw 7"Breakout+ which is SPV...

the SPV Sherman feels completly different then a TPC Sherman.. and requires more finetuning to get it right for each rider...esp rider Weight...

if it was a 6" non-SPV Slider then it should NOT feels sticky at all...

It's actually a used fork and has been ridden for a while now. It should be far past the break in period...It's the 6" model

Burnwood, if your fork is used perhaps it simply needs to be serviced...

relubing the lowers is hella easy...15mins max... u just need a small amount of oil and some simple tools...

Icewax is your Slider a SPV variant ??? cuz those forks def. dont "feel" as plush as teh TPC style Sliders...

the SPV makes the fork pronouncedly more "dead" feeling...

After closer inspection, the bike appears to be pretty worked...

The fork being no exception...It needs atleast one bushing, maybe two, along with a complete rebuild...

Yikes... get your fork serviced if its "tired" dont run a fork with worn bushings or you'll wear the stnactions down...

good part is Manitou is super fast with servicing the new Sherman line...

get to your LBS...;)
