i was at whistler on sunday and saw this asian guy on a yellow bullit and he was running what looekd like 6 inch 888's called utopias, and he had a crazy new fox dh shock. It looked like a rac but the piggyback was much bigger and longer.

anyone else see this?

nope it was a double crown, looked like a 888 but it looked like much smaller travel. All black with dedicated 20mm and it said Utopia on the side

looks like the Jr's and Supers are on the way out possibly. I was up there Saturday though - all I saw was 04 Team DH's (norco's) and the usual m1's and demo's now.

I got to ride one of the 2004 Norco Team Dh's. Wow.

Never saw that guy. Rear shock was likely the new Fox DHX rear shock. No idea on the fork though, but it sounds cool!

There are rumours of a Fox DC fork coming out...if he had a new Fox DHX shock, maybe he had a prototype Fox fork? Who knows.

I did to. I swapped my buddy for rip down Dirt Merchant. Oddly enough, my big hit felt like it had a lower seat? Other than that, uber nice bike.

As for the Fox DH fork, I've heard its 40mm stanchions with 8" o' smooooth travel.

Nice! Whose did you try? Dave lent me his for a run. I was pretty stoked with how it felt, something I'd like to get more time on for sure.

They are already out there in limited numbers. Gabe at the Cove says he has one on his bike already too.

I still haven't seen one though.

I borrowed my friends Nick's. Dave Hill or Devlin? That would be pretty funny if we were almost in the same group but just didnt know. For za record, I was a 03 big hit dh with an avalanche - perhaps you saw me. Nicks possibly felt higher b/c he has a couch for a seat.

It was Dave Devlins. He had what felt like a piece of slate for a seat (it was not stock), but it was keeping with the slick "race" build. I thought the bike felt amazing...really sits down in corners and makes you want to just go! Very supple rear travel and great pedalling.

Don't think I saw you. I was on my 03 Team NS with Shiver's, in a green new NSMB jersey, Black/Silver Mad Max w/Troy Lee visor.

Thats a negative - no sighting of Corey. I didnt really pedal or push the bike that much. I just let if flow along the trail. But it does corner quite nicely and I was surprised by the 5th. It had the dead feeling I've read and heard about when I sat on it but that definately couldnt be used to describe how the shock or bike felt.
